Critical Thinking and Ethics

This course introduces students to the use and benefits of applying critical thinking, assessing arguments in terms of their credibility, and how to deal with ethical dilemmas. Students will be made familiar with the language and patterns of reasoning, credibility criteria used to assess reasoning and the flaws in a person's arguments or points of view. Students will develop their knowledge to produce credible arguments through critical thought. Students will become proficient in understanding, evaluating, and responding to ethical dilemmas that impact one's well-being and the well-being of internal and external stakeholders.
