This course provides LIT students with an introduction to the field of records management and information governance. Students will learn about the records lifecycle, implementing a records program, classification and retention schedules and how to create, maintain and use them, legislative and legal requirements, e-Discovery, Freedom of Information and Privacy Protection, software, storage and security considerations and the various roles and responsibilities of Records Management Professionals in organizations.
