Business Contingency Management

This course will cover the design of recovery plans for environmental or manmade disasters, cyberterrorism and hacking. It will extend to risk assessment and business impact analysis. This course will cover costs and benefits associated with different network, database and storage techniques needed to assure business continuity. In the face of a disaster the major focus of a business is to reestablish "business as usual". Learners will develop the necessary skills to establish continuity plans aimed at recovering core business process functionality. This will form one of the base components of the audit process investigated in the Security Auditing and Governance course in semester 2.
