PTA&OTA Therapeutic Skills III

The purpose of this course is to consolidate and further develop therapeutic skills learned to date when working with clients with complex medical and post-operative conditions. Students will safely and effectively apply rehabilitation skills and strategies for clients with impairments related to the respiratory, cardiovascular and integumentary systems. Effective communication within the role of the therapy assistant and as part of an interdisciplinary team is emphasized. Practical knowledge will be integrated and evaluated during practical labs
