This course introduces students to the software development life cycle including how to gather, analyse and determine requirements of a software system to meet the needs of project stakeholders. Students will discuss and develop the kind of preliminary documentation that is essential before any code is written in order to describe and justify potential software systems. This course serves as a highly recommended prerequisite to Systems Development II - SYDE 3203.
