Please be advised that the Ontario Public Service Employees Union (OPSEU), which represents full-time and partial-load faculty, librarians and academic counsellors at Ontario’s 24 colleges, has given notice of their intent to commence a full walk-out strike effective Friday, March 18 at 12:01 a.m.

If the proposed strike action should occur, it will impact classes at both of Durham College’s campuses and picketing may occur.

We recognize that this news may be upsetting to our students and there will be questions about continuity of learning. More information about the strike and relevant contingency planning will be shared in the coming days.

The College Employer Council, who represents Ontario’s colleges during labour negotiations, has provided additional details in the attached.
