Current Disruption(s)

April 25 – Centre for Innovation and Research at Oshawa campus

What:  Facilities is renovating washrooms CIR110, CIR111 and CIR106.

Where: The Centre for Innovation and Research (CIR).

When: April 29, 2024 to June 30, 2024

Impact: During this period, please be advised that the research centres inside the CIR will be locked, and the event space will not be available for bookings until construction is complete. Additionally, employees of the Office of Research Services, Innovation and Entrepreneurship (ORSIE) are temporarily being relocated from the CIR to alternative workspaces on campus. If you need to meet with an ORSIE team member, please connect with them on Teams to make suitable arrangements.

Your cooperation and understanding are greatly appreciated.

April 23 – Stairwell closure at Oshawa campus

What: A stairwell at the Oshawa campus will be closed for renovations for the next three months.

Where: This closure will impact stairwell #1 (in The PIT across from Security), as indicated in this map.

When: The stairwell will be closed from April 29 until July 15.

Impact: Signage and a map showing alternate access points and exits will be posted on each floor.

March 11 – Washroom closure in Gordon Willey Building H-Wing

Please note that Facilities will be renovating the H-Wing washrooms in the Gordon Willey Building (H152 and H153).

When: March 12 to April 30.

Alternate washrooms are available in the I-Wing Galleria.

Notice of Service Disruption

Durham College will provide notice of service disruption when any facility and/or technology are unavailable.

A notice of service disruption will include the following:

  • Reason for the disruption
  • Anticipated duration of the disruption
  • Alternate facilities or services, if any
  • Appropriate contact information

Service disruptions can be reported to the specific department or Faculty affected by/responsible for the disruption or to one of the following areas:
