Initial Meeting

Students will meet with an Accessibility Coach to discuss their requested supports, determine appropriate accommodations and then guide the development of an Access Plan.

Topics typically discussed in an Initial Meeting will include:

  • Review your program of study
  • Review past academic supports
  • Review your supporting documentation
  • Course learning outcomes and accommodations
  • Talk about transition and campus supports
  • Develop your Access Plan
  • Develop your Success Plan

It is important that students are aware of what courses they will be taking in the upcoming semester so that they can anticipate the impact that their exceptionality will have on their learning, be it in the classroom, a lab or in field placement.
