Are you finding it difficult to juggle your many commitments? Come join us to talk about ways to
foster a balanced college life. We will share and discuss strategies for doing self-checks, time
management, coping, goal setting, and relaxation. There will be fun activities and snacks to help set
you on the path to a balanced, less stressful college experience.

ASC Social Meet-Up Group (In-person)

Take a break to indulge in some fun and self-care. Join our Social Meet-Up Group for an opportunity
to connect with others who are also looking to make new friends. Activities will include playing
games, taking walks, visiting the gym, or going for lunch together. All are welcome.

Drop-in Peer Coaching (In-person)

Come meet with a peer coach for help with time management, organization, scheduling, prioritizing
class work, assignment clarification, DC Connect/MyCampus orientation, or study skills. No
commitment – just drop-in when needed.

Note: *This is a drop-in group so the length of your meeting time will vary depending on the number of attendees or other students may
be in attendance.

ASD Social Group (In Person)

This is a twice-a-week social group for students who identify as having an Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). The group provides students with an opportunity to connect with each other and develop their support network. This is facilitated through activities that focus on building relationships, and developing social skills and wellness strategies.

The group is currently meeting in person to get together and do activities.

In the ASC living-learning community you will learn about:

  • Self-regulation
  • Cooking skills
  • Social skills
  • Anger management skills and much more

All of this is taught through individualized success coaching and group work with an emphasis on relationships and life skills. This will be organized through ongoing support in a patient and reassuring environment

Students who would like to be part of the ASD-learning living community must register with the Access and Support Centre to verify eligibility for the program. Peer-led ASL Social Group (In-person)

Interested in learning or practicing American Sign Language with other students on campus? Join us
for an opportunity to connect with others and build a supportive network while engaging in fun
discussions. This group is open to those who identify as deaf, hard of hearing, CoDA, or anyone
hoping to expand and practice their ASL skills.

Staying organized and keeping track of all your assignments, tests, and due dates can be
overwhelming! Come join us to learn how to create and maintain systems to keep track of course
information and material. In this workshop, we will review various tools and strategies to find out what
works best for you.
